This tutorial was written using Psp8
The tutorial is my design and any
similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial is meant as a guide
only.
Supplies Needed
Iced Berry scrap kit by Clarey which
you can get
Here
Tube of your choice, I used the
amazing art of Barbara Jensen, You need a license to use her tubes and
you can purchase
Here
Mask 84 by Chelle which you can get at
Weescotslass
Fonts of your choice I used
Batik Regular and Bickham script fancy
Postcard by me
Here or you can use the one in the scrap kit.
Let's get started
Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill
white
Rename layer background
Open the postcard supplied (or use one out of the scrap kit which
already has the stamp on it)
Paste as new layer and rename background
Next paste the stamp from the scrap kit as new layer
(You can skip this if you used the postcard from the scrap kit)
Resize by 70%
Place to the top right corner of your postcard
Add the following drop shadow
V&H 2
Opacity 50
Blur 5
With the stamp as the active layer
Layers>Merge>Merge down
With the font
Batik Regular
Size 16
Stroke 0
Background colour black
Type out the address side of the postcard with which ever name etc that
you wish
Using the selection tool draw out a rectangle on the left side of the
postcard like shown below
Paste your tube as new layer
Place so the part of the tube you want showing is inside the marching
ants
Selections invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Change the opacity on the tube to 50%
Layers>Properties
Change the blend mode to luminance
Image>mirror
Move it to sit above the postcard layer
(If you need to move it to sit on the address side of the postcard
correctly do so now)
When happy with the look on the postcard hide the background layer and
merge visible on all other layers
Rename the merged layer postcard and unhide the background layer
Select all
Float
Defloat
Selections>Modify>contract by 5
Paste your tube as new layer
Name layer tube
Layers>Duplicate
Close of visibility on copy of tube
Make tube layer the active layer
Select all
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Make the copy of tube visible and the active layer
Using the lasso tool draw around the bottom of the tube like shown below
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
On the original tube layer add the drop shadow we used before
With the background layer the active layer
Paste one of the papers as new layer
Layers>New mask layer
In the drop down box select WSL_MASK84
Ok
Layers
Delete
Press yes on the pop up box
Layers>merge group
Reduce opacity to 50%
Effects
Edge effects
Enhance
Paste one of the bows as new layer
Move it to above the postcard layer
Resize as needed
Place in the centre of postcard at the top
Add the drop shadow we used earlier
Next paste as new layer the hanging skates
Resize as needed
And place over the centre of the bow and add the drop shadow
Make the top layer the active layer
Add your name and copyright information
Save your tag as a jpg and enjoy
