This tutorial was written using Psp8 but can
be done in other versions.
This tutorial is my design and any similarity
to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
The tutorial is meant as a guide only.
Supplies.
Tube of your choice. I used the awesome art of
Elias Chatzoudis, You need a license to use his work which can be
purchased at
MPT
Roses are red... Scrap kit freebie by me which
you can download
Here
Fonts of your choice
Plug in filters
Toadies-Ommadawn
Here
Let's get started.
Open a new canvas 600 x 600 flood fill white
Rename layer background
Paste one of the frames as new layer I used frame 3
With you magic wand
Settings add (shift)
Click in both sides of the frame above and below the ribbon
Selections>Modify>Expand by 5
Paste a paper of your choice as new layer
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Move the paper below the frame layer but do not de select
Paste the tube of your choice as new layer
Place slightly to the right of the frame see my tag for example
Rename layer tube
When happy with placement
Layer>duplicate
Move the copy of tube to be the top layer and close off visibility
for now
Make the original tube layer your active layer
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
On the copy of tube you have 2 options
You can use the eraser tool to delete any of the tube at the bottom
of the frame over hanging your ribbon
Or
If you want to you can use the lasso tool
Zoom in on your tag
And carefully cut round the hand of the tube so that the hand shows
over the ribbon then delete the excess tube around it.
I will leave it for you to decide which to do depending on your
level of Psp ability
Add the following drop shadow to the frame layer
V&H 1
Opacity 70
Blur 1
And then repeat changing V&H to -1
Paste the bling heart as new layer
Resize by 50%
Adjust>Sharpness>sharpen more
Place inside the top of the left hand side of the frame
Layers duplicate
Move the duplicated heart down so that it is joined to the bottom of
the first heart
And repeat so you have 3 hearts in a line down the left of the frame
Hide all other layers and merge visible on the hearts
Unhide hidden layers and move the merged hearts so they are beneath
the frame layer
Add the same drop shadow we used on the frame
Make the frame the active layer
Paste the feather as new layer
Resize by 50%
Image mirror
Place it so that the bottom of the feather is on the knot of the
ribbon on the frame
Duplicate
Resize by 70%
Image>rotate>free rotate 15 to the left
Place this also so the bottom of the feather is on the knot
Paste faux fur heart 3 as new layer
Resize by 50% then by 80%
Place over the bottom of the feathers
Add a slight drop shadow
Hide the background layer
Merge visible on the remaining layers
Unhide background layer
Duplicate merged layer
On the original merged layer
Adjust>blur>Gaussian Blur
20.00
Effects>plug-ins>Toadies>Ommadawn
With the following settings
Cell width and height 5
Cell “a” sharp/soft 197
Cell edges on/off 73
Effects>edge effects>enhance more
Reduce the opacity of the layer to 80%
Add your text around your frame I used song lyrics but it’s up to
you what text you use
Duplicate your text when finished and on the original text layer
Gaussian blur 3
Paste the bling swirl as new layer
Resize by 90%
Sharpen more
Place to the bottom of the tag
Layers duplicate
Image flip
Image mirror
If you want to add any more elements from the kit you can add them
now
When happy with your tag
Crop/resize as desired
Add your name and copyright information
Save your tag and enjoy
