Irish Charm



 

This tutorial was written by me using Psp8 but can be done in other versions.

The tutorial is my design and any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

 

Supplies Needed.

Irish Charm scrap kit by me Here

Tube of your choice, I used the amazing art of Keith Garvey. You need a license to use his work which you can purchase at My Psp Tubes.

Font of your choice.

Let's get started

Open a new canvas 600x 600 flood fill white
Rename layer background

Paste frame 1 as new layer
Resize by 70%

With your magic wand click inside the frame
Selections>Modify>Expand by 10
Paste the paper of your choice as new layer
Selections invert
Press delete on you keyboard
Move the paper beneath the frame layer in the layer palette
(Do not de-select)

Paste your tube as new layer
Layers>Duplicate
Move the copy of the tube to be the top layer and close off visibility on it for now

With your original tube layer the active layer press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Make the duplicate layer the active layer and make it visible again
Using the eraser tool with the following settings

Rub out the excess tube at the bottom of the frame

On the original tube layer add the following drop shadow
V&H 3
Opacity 50
Blur 5
Repeat this on the frame layer then on the frame layer also add the following drop shadow
V&H -1
Opacity 50
Blur 5

Make the top layer the active layer and add tag back 1 as new layer
Resize by 50 %
And move to the bottom of the frame
Add the same drop shadow you used on the frame
Paste one of the shamrocks as new layer
Resize by 25%
Move to the left of the tag back
Add the following drop shadow
V&H -1
Opacity 50
Blur 5
And then repeat changing V&H to 1
Layers>Duplicate
Image>Mirror
And place at the other side of the tag back
Add your name to the tag

Paste large bow 1 as new layer
Resize by 40%
Add a drop shadow as before with the shamrocks
Move the bow to sit under the shamrock in the layer palette and then place it so you’re happy with it
Duplicate and mirror

When happy close off visibility on your background layer and merge visible on the remaining layers
Resize merged layer by 85%
Unhide background layer
Make the background the active layer
Paste a paper of your choice as new layer
Layers>New mask layer
In the drop down box find your mask
Ok
Layers delete
Click yes in the pop up box
Layers>Merge>Merge group

Crop your tag
Add your copyright information
Save your tag and enjoy
