It's a Girl Thing

This tutorial was written by me and is meant as a guide only.

Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

Supplies Needed

Its a girl thing scrap kit by me which can be downloaded on my Blog Here

Template 41 by Yvette at Essence of Creativity

Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow (Optional)

Tubes of your choice. I used the awesome art of Keith Garvey, You must have a license to use his work which you can purchase from MPT

Open up template in psp

Make the © layer the active layer
Layers>delete

Image
Canvas size 600 x 600 (I find it easier to resize like this for the papers)
Layers>new raster layer
Flood fill white and move to be the bottom layer
Rename the layer background

Make the circle layer the active layer
Select all
Float
De-float

Paste one of the papers from the scrap kit as new layer
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Delete the circle layer from the template and rename the paper layer you just added circle
I then added eye candy 4000 gradient glow using settings fat, and glow width 3 this is optional. With some papers it looks better without

Repeat the above step for the dotted circle and hearts layers using different papers from the kit

Paste your main tube as new layer
Add the following drop shadow
V = 4
H = -1
Opacity 40
Blur=7.25
Place it as desired on your tag
Rename layer tube

Paste frame 6 from the scrap kit as new layer
Resize by 50% then use the deformation tool to fit the frame around the left hand side frame
Rename layer frame
When happy duplicate and mirror
Merge down on the copy of frame

Move the frame layer beneath the tube layer
With the magic wand
Click inside the left hand side frame
Selections>Modify
Expand by 6
Paste a tube of your choice as new layer
Selections>Invert
Press delete on keyboard

Repeat for the right hand side frame
Hide all other layers but the 2 tubes you just pastes and merge visible
Rename heart tubes
Unhide hidden layers

Add the same drop shadow we used before

Next make the frame layer the active layer and add a more subtle drop shadow
Repeat this shadow for the circle and dotted circle layer
Add one of the Bling butterfly’s as new layer
Resize by 50%
Add a drop shadow and move layer to below the circle layer
Rename BB

Now its time to make the tag your own by adding any of the elements from the kit to your tag; remember to resize and to add any drop shadows to elements

When you’re happy that you have all the elements you require on your tag then add your name
Resize/crop your tag to your liking
Add your copyright information

Save your tag and enjoy
