Romance

This tutorial was written using PSP8

The tutorial is my design and any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental

The tutorial is meant as a guide only.

Supplies Needed

Antique Romance scrap kit by Amanda of Tantrum scraps which you can purchase Here

Tube of your choice. I used the beautiful artwork of Zindy Nielsen If using one of her PTU tubes you must have a license which you can purchase Here

Font of your choice

Let's get started

Open a new canvas 600 x 600 flood fill white
Rename layer background


Paste the frame named frame as new layer
Image>rotate>Free rotate 90 to the left
All layers unchecked
Resize by 85%
Move to the left of the canvas
Layers>duplicate
Image mirror and move this to a position you like on the right
Hide the background layer and merge visible on the frames
Rename merged layer frame

Using the lasso tool on setting point to point draw a line around the frame as shown below


Paste paper of your choice as new layer
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Move layer beneath frame layer and rename it fill

Make the frame layer the active layer again
This time use your lasso tool to draw around the left hand side of the frame
Paste your tube as new layer
Make sure the part of the tube you want showing is inside the marching ants
Selections>invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Layer properties
Blend mode luminance
Opacity 60
Rename layer tube1 and move it beneath the frame layer

Layers>Duplicate
Image mirror and move it so that it sits in the right side frame
Merge down

Paste the swag as new layer
Layers>Arrange>move to the top
Place it at the top of your frames
Rename layer swag

View>Zoom by 5
The carefully with the eraser tool
Settings-size 32 step 25 density 100 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 100
Remove the part of the bow which covers the tube face

Make the frame the active layer
Paste swag 2 as new layer
Resize by 70%
Place in the centre of the 2 frames, see my tag for placement
Rename layer swag2

Add the following drop shadow to both the swags and the frame layers
V & H -2
Opacity 50
Blur 5
Then repeat changing V & H to 2
Hide the background layer and merge visible

Make the background layer the active layer
Paste the doodle as new layer
Resize by 60%
Move to the bottom left of the frame
See my tag for placement
Layers>Duplicate
Image>Mirror
Click on the top of the 2 doodles and merge down

Next crop and resize your tag as desired and add your name and copyright information

Save tag as a jpg and enjoy
