This tutorial was written by me using
Psp8 and Animation shop
The tutorial is my design and any
similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial is meant as a guide
only.
Supplies
Winterlicious Scrap by Missy kit which
you can get for free from
Misfit Scrapz
Tube of your choice. I used PinUpToons
art which you need a license to use and can purchase from
CILM
Font of your choice.
Snow animation which you can get
Here
Let's get started.
Open a new canvas 600 by 600 flood
fill white
Rename layer background
Paste frame 1 as new layer
Resize by 85%
Paste frame 2 as new layer
Resize also by 85%
On the layer with frame 1 on
Image>rotate>Free rotate 15 to the left
Layers duplicate
Layers>arrange>bring to top
Free rotate this layer to the right by 30
Add a drop shadow of your choice to each frame
Hide the background layer in the layer palette and merge visible on the
remaining layers
Unhide hidden layer
Rename merged layer frame
Using the magic wand with the frame layer the active layer
Click outside the frames on the canvas
Selections invert
Modify>Contract by 10
Paste a paper of your choice as new layer
Selections invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Rename layer full and move it beneath the frames layer
Make the frame the active layer
Paste the mittens as new layer
Place them so they are neat the right hand side top corner of the frame
Image mirror
Resize if desired. I resized by 85% twice
Add a drop shadow of choice mine was
V&H 2
Opacity 45
Blur 3
Paste one of the bows as new layer
Resize by 50%
Add the same drop shadow you did to the mittens
Place at the top of the cord on the mittens
Paste one of the buttons as new layer
Resize by 30%
Place this on the knot in the bow
Next add your tube and place as desired
Add a drop shadow. I used
V 10
H 0
Opacity 45
Blur 3
Make the fill layer the active layer and paste the snowman as new layer
Resize by 50% and place as desired
Add your name and copyright information
If you don’t want to animate you can save your tag now.
To animate read on.
Hide the background and fill layer in your layer palette and merge
visible on the other layers
Next hide your merged layer and merge visible on the background and fill
layer
Copy the background and fill layer
Paste into animation as new animation
In animation shop
Edit and duplicate selected 3 times
This gives u 5 frames
Edit>select all
Edit>duplicate selected
You will now have a total of 10 frames
Edit>select all
Open up the snow animation in animation shop
You will see it has 10 frames
Select all
Copy
Now on your background layers paste into selected frame
Click with the mouse to release the animation
Before we bring the rest of your tag to animation view animation to make
sure the snow works ok
In Psp hide the background layer and unhide the other merged layer
Copy
Paste into animation shop as new animation
Again duplicate it so that you have 10 frames
Select all
Copy
On your background layer which you added the snow to
Select all
Paste into selected frame
Do not click to release it until you have lined it up to sit correctly
on your tag
When you have placement right click on your mouse
View animation to make sure all works ok
Save your tag as a gif and enjoy
