This tutorial was written by me using
Psp8 and Animation shop
The tutorial is my design and any
similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial is meant as a guide
only. Feel free to improvise on items used.
Supplies
Halloween Scrap kit by me which you
can download
Here
Tube of your choice I used the amazing
art of Elias Chatzoudis. You must have a license to purchase his work
which you can purchase from
My Psp Tubes
Font of your choice.
Alien Skin Xenofex 2

Mask192 by Chelle which you can
download from her site

Let's get started
Open a new canvas 600 x 600 flood fill
white
Name layer background
Layer>New Raster layer
Effects>plug ins>alien skin xenofex2>Little fluffy clouds
Settings>Dark storm
Press ok
Layers>New mask layer
In the drop down box choose WSL_MASK192
Source luminance
Click ok
Layers>delete
In the pop up box click ok
Merge group
Rename layer mask
Select the tree from the scrap kit and paste as new layer
Click on the deformation tool
Use this to make the tree thinner in width but do not change the height
Place the tree to the left of your canvas
Paste the tree again as new layer (don’t duplicate the tree you just
changed the width of as we want to keep the width on this tree)
Resize by 60%
Place the resized tree to around the middle of your canvas
Duplicate and resize again by 60% place this tree further back on the
left of your canvas. You can use my tag as an example
When happy with the placement of your trees hide all other layers and
merge visible on the trees. Rename layer trees
Next make the mask layer the active layer
Paste moon 2 as new layer
Resize it by 60% twice
Place it to the top left of the mask layer
Add a drop shadow
Merge down
Make the trees the active layer
Paste one of the cauldrons as new layer
Adjust>Hue and saturation
Colourise
Hue 0
Saturation 0
Resize by 60% twice and then by 80% once
Place the cauldron to the bottom of your tag
Next add one of the brooms as new layer
Resize as needed and free rotate 90 to the left
Add a drop shadow
Paste your tube as new layer
Resize if needed.
Next I just added some bats to the tops of the trees but am going to say
to you now, add any elements from the kit that you wish to make the tag
your own. Be creative.
Hide the background and mask layer and merge visible on all other layers
Rename the merged layer main
Unhide hidden layers
On the mask layer select all
Float
De-float
Duplicate layer 4 times giving a total of 5 mask layers
Hide visibility on the top 4 of the mask layers and make the bottom of
the 5 layers the active layer
Effects
Plug in filters
Alien skin Xenofex 2
With the following settings
Make sure the start of the lightening looks like its coming from behind
the moon like below
Repeat this for the remaining mask layer - EXCEPT THE TOP ONE we need to
keep one mask layer with no lightening on - Pressing the random seed
button each time
When u have applied lightning to 4 of the mask layers select none
Crop/resize your tag as desired
Add your name and copyright information
Now to move to animation shop
Hide all the 4 mask layers with lightning on and make the one without
lightning the active layer
Copy merged and paste into animation shop as new animation
Hide the layer you just copied across to animation and unhide the next
one down
Copy merged and paste into animation shop after current frame
Repeat this until you have all 5 mask layers across into animation shop
In animation shop select all
Animation>Frame properties
Change this to 25
Next click on the first frame in your animation this should be the one
with no lightning on
Change the frame properties on this layer alone to 150
Save your tag as a gif and enjoy
