This tutorial was written by me using PSP7

This tutorial is my design and any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

The tutorial is meant as a guide only. Feel free to improvise to make the tag your own.

 

Supplies Needed

Glamour Scrap kit by Yarrow which you can purchase @ Digital Chaos Here

Becky Mask 042 Here

Tube of your choice

I used the beautiful artwork of Barbara Jensen, To use her work you must purchase a license which you can get Here

Font of your choice I used Mr Sheffield

Note Pad By Me Here

Plug In Filters

Alien skin Xenofex 2 This is a paid filter you can purchase it or try the Demo Here

 

 

Let's get started

 

Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill white
Rename layer background

Paste the frame from the scrap kit as new layer
Rename layer frame
View>Zoom in by 1 (this makes it clearer for you to see)
With your lasso tool on the following settings


Draw around the ribbon wrap on the frame. When you have done the right hand side hold down the shift key and do the left hand side
You should end up with something like this



Colours>colourise
With the following settings
Hue 215
Saturation 200
Click ok

Colours>Adjust>Brightness and Contrast
Brightness 20
Contrast 0

Now keep repeating these steps until the colour is as you wish it to be
Always finish off with colourise
Layers>select none
View>Normal Viewing

Select your magic wand
With the following settings


Click inside the frame
Selections>Modify
Expand by 5
Layers>New raster layer
Name this frame fill
And flood fill with black
Move this layer beneath the frame layer
Do not deselect
Paste your tube as new layer
Position so the parts of the tube you wish to have showing are inside the marching ants.
When happy with placement
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Rename layer tube

Next to add some elements.

Make the frame layer the active layer
Paste the powder compact as new layer
Resize by 70%

Add the following drop shadow

H & V -2
Opacity 40
Blur 2


Next paste the Brush as new layer
Resize by 70%
Layers>Arrange>Move Down
Place the brush behind the compact

Select all
Float
De-float

Layers>New raster layer

Take your airbrush tool with the following settings



Foreground colour #CCA77D

Add some colour to the tips of the brush

Don’t worry about going over the edge as the lines will keep it in

You should end up with it looking a little like this


This just gives it the effect that the brush has been used

Select none

Paste the mascara as new layer
Place it to the right of the frame
Resize by 70%

Using the lasso too with the same settings as before
Draw roughly round the mascara wand end as shown below

Then click on the wand itself once
This should select just the wand end as show below

Effects>Plug In Filters
Xenofex 2
Constellation
With the following settings



Select none
Finally paste the lipstick as new layer
Resize by 70% twice
Place it next to the mascara
See my example for placement
Zoom your tag in by 1 so that you can see more clearly
And use your lasso tool as you did on the mascara wand to select the tip of the lipstick as shown below


Use the steps we used to colourise the ribbon on the frame to colourise the lipstick to the same colour
When you have done that
Select none
View>normal viewing

Next in your layer palette x out the frame fill layer for a moment
Make the tube layer the active layer
Use the lasso tool to draw around the eyelashes on your tube holding down the shift key while you do it
Like shown below


Apply again the constellation with the following settings



Unhide the frame fill layer

Hide the background layer and merge visible on the remaining layers
Resize by 80%
Image>Rotate>Free Rotate
10 to the left making sure all layers is UN ticked

Effects>sharpen>sharpen more

Add the following drop shadow
V & H -2
Opacity 50
Blur 5


Paste the notebook as new layer
Resize by 80% 3 times
Image>Rotate>Free rotate 10 to the right all layers unchecked
Add the following drop shadow
V & H 2
Opacity 50
Blur 5

Move the notepad below your merged layer

Using a script font add some words or a message onto the note pad

Next add you name to the tag

Click on the background layer and make it the active layer

Add new raster layer

Flood fill with black
Masks>new>from image
Look in the dropdown list for Beck mask 042
Source luminance
Ok
Masks>delete
Click yes on the pop up box

Make the top layer the active layer

Crop and resize tag as desired

Add your copyright information

Save tag as jpg
And we are done
