This tutorial was written by me using
PSP7 and Animation shop,
The tutorial is meant as a guide only.
Any similarity to any other tutorial
is purely coincidental.

Pink lady freebie scrap kit by me.

Pink Negative Frame By me
Here
Tubes of your choice (do not mix
artists)
I used the awesome artwork of Keith
Garvey, to use his art you must have license which you can purchase at
MY PSP TUBES

Let's get started
Open supplies in PSP
Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill
white
Rename layer background
Paste the Polaroid as new layer
Rename layer Polaroid
Resize by 50%
Image>rotate>free rotate 25 to the left
Move to the top left of the canvas
Add a drop shadow
I used
V & H -2
Opacity 50
Blur 5
And then repeated changing V & H to 2
Layers>duplicate
Resize by 75%
Image mirror
And place so it slightly overlaps the first Polaroid
Layers>duplicate
Image>mirror
Image>rotate
Free rotate 10 to the left
And place on the left hand side of the original
You should have something like this
Make the original Polaroid the active layer
With your magic wand
These settings
Click inside the black part of the Polaroid
Selections>Modify>Expand by 1
Paste in the first tube of your choice
Make sure the part of the tube you want showing is inside the marching
ants
Selections invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Layers>Properties
In the drop down list next to blend mode select luminance
Repeat the above steps till you have part of a tube in each Polaroid
When happy with them hide the background layer and merge visible on the
remaining layers
Rename this layer Polaroid’s
Unhide the background layer, and make the Polaroid layer the active
layer
Paste your tube as new layer
Resize by 75%
Add a slight drop shadow
Rename layer tube
Paste the pink negative supplied as new layer
Resize by 85%
Place at the bottom of your tube
Rename layer negative
With the magic wand click inside all 3 parts of the negative while
holding down the shift key
Selections>modify
Expand by 8
Layers>new raster layer
Name this fill
Flood fill with black
Select none
Move the fill layer beneath the negative layer
Then make the negative the active layer again
Click inside the first square on the left of the negative with the magic
wand
Selections>modify>expand by 8
Paste tube as new layer
Making sure the part of the tube you want showing is inside the marching
ants
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none
Rename layer tube1
Move beneath the negative layer
Repeat this for the other 2 parts of the negative naming the other tubes
tube 2 and tube 3
(NB-Sometimes when you cut a tube this way and it overhangs the edge of
your canvas and you are going to move it, when you move it part of the
tube shows at the bottom of canvas, because of this you can hide all
layers and merge visible on the tube once cut to stop this happening if
you wish)
Make the top layer which should be the negative the active layer
Paste one of the butterflies from the scrap kit as new layer
Resize by 40%
Place as desired on the tag
I duplicated mine and resized again and placed in a few places on the
Polaroid’s
Hide all other layers
Merge visible on the butterflies
Rename layer butterflies
Make the background layer the active layer
Paste a paper of choice as new layer
Masks>new>from image
In the drop down mask find the Becky mask I supplied
Source luminance
Masks>delete
Click yes on the pop up box
Rename layer mask
Make the negative layer the active layer and add your name
Crop tag as desired and add your copyright information
If you don’t want to animate, you can save your tag now.
If you do want to animate read on
In PSP copy merged
Paste into animation shop as new layer
Back in PSP
Move tube one into the last box on the negative frame and move the other
2 along 1 to the left so the order of your tubes left to right should be
Tube2 Tube3 Tube1
Copy merged
Paste after current frame in animation shop
Back in PSP move along the tubes again
Now your tube order should be
Tube 3 Tube1 Tube2
Copy merged
Paste into animation shop after current frame
In animation shop
Select all
Animation
Frame properties
Change the display time to 75
View animation to make sure all works ok.
Save the tag as a gif file and enjoy
