Wild West



 

 

 

 

This tutorial was written using psp7 but can be done in other versions.

This tutorial was written by me and is meant as a guide only.

Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

 

Supplies Needed.

 

Wild West Scrap kit which I purchased from MY PSP TUBES.

Tube of your choice. I used the awesome art of Keith Garvey, you must have a license to use his work which you can purchase from MY PSP TUBES

Font of your choice. I used stencil std.

Let's get started.

Open supplies in PSP

 

Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill white
Rename layer background

Paste the frame from the scrap kit as new layer
Rename layer frame
Image>Rotate>Free rotate 90 to the right
Place the frame slightly to the left of centre on the canvas
With the lasso tool
Following settings

Draw around the frame
Like so


Paste a paper of your choice as new layer
Make sure paper is showing inside the marching ants
Selections>Invert
Press delete on your keyboard

Rename layer fill
Move beneath the frame layer
DO NOT DE-SELECT

Paste your tube as new layer
Get the placement right so you are happy with it
Rename layer tube
Layers>duplicate
Move the copy of tube above the frame and hide visibility of it for now
Make the original tube layer the active layer
Press delete on your keyboard
Select none

Unhide the copy of tube and make it the active layer

Using the selection tool shape rectangle
Draw around the excess tube on the frame like shown below

Press delete on keyboard
Select none

Make the frame the active layer and add the following drop shadow
H & V 1
Opacity 100
Blur 5

Repeat changing H & V to -1

Next make the original tube layer the active layer
Add the following drop shadow
H 0
V 25
Opacity 100
Blur 5

Next make the top layer on your tag the active layer this should be the copy of tube
Paste the boot from the scrap kit as new layer
Resize by 65%
Place to the bottom right of the frame
Add the same drop shadow we used on the frame
When happy
Layers>duplicate
Image>rotate>free rotate 20 to the right making sure all layers is not checked
Move the boot slightly to the right
Hide all other layers
Merge visible on the boots
Rename layer boots and unhide hidden layers

Paste the lasso as new layer
Move it below the boots on the layer palette and rename lasso
Place as desired
Again add the drop shadow as used on the boots
Paste the hat as new layer
Rename layer hat
Place it to the right of the lasso and boots
Again add the drop shadow

Paste the scrap papers from the kit as new layer
Rename layer papers
Move it below the lasso in the layer palette
Add drop shadow

Paste the text tag from the kit as new layer
Free rotate the same as you did for the boot.
Add the same drop shadow
And rename tag1
Paste the screw as new layer
Resize by 70%
Place on the text tag so it looks as if it’s holding it onto the frame

Paste the tag as new layer
Resize by 70%
Free rotate 20 to the left
Move it below the screw layer
Rename tag2
Add your name to the tag


Make the background layer the active layer
Paste one of the papers as new layer
Masks>new>from image
Becky mask 042
Masks>delete
Click yes on the pop up box

Crop or resize your tag to your liking
Add your copyright information

Save your tag as a jpg and enjoy
